The power transmissions we supply are used in mechanical systems requiring moving parts, rather than systems that need to be powered electrically. Products include belts and sheaves, chains and sprockets, and shaft couplings.

Chains & Sprockets – A chain is a reliable machine component that transmits power by tensile force. Chains may be classified in many ways. A chain a mechanical belt, running over wheels, which can be used to transmit power and is basically a set of pins, rollers, bushings, and connecting links.

V Belts & Pulleys – A belt is a loop of flexible material used to link two or more rotating shafts mechanically. Belts may be used as a source of motion, to transmit power efficiently or to track relative movement. Belts are looped over pulleys and may have a twist between the pulleys, and the shafts need not be parallel. The belt drive can also be used to change the speed of rotation, either up or down, by using different sized pulleys.

Couplings –  A coupling is a device used to connect two shafts together at their ends for the purpose of transmitting power. The primary purpose of couplings is to join two pieces of rotating equipment while permitting some degree of misalignment or end movement or both. Selection, installation and maintenance of couplings can lead to reduced maintenance time and maintenance cost.

Bushes & Shaft Collars – Taper Lock bushes, also referred to as a Taper bush or Taper Fit bush, is a locking mechanism commonly used in Power Transmission Drives for locating pulleys, sprockets, and couplings to shafts. The Taper Lock bush is pre-bored and keyed to match the required shaft and keyway diameters. The outside of the bush is tapered to match the component bore that is to be located on the shaft.

Speedi Sleeves – are thin-walled sleeves that are pushed in position over the worn area on a shaft to protect it from erosion, corrosion and wear at critical points.
